Boo in the Pool at the YMCA

A free event for the whole community!

If you are looking for a good time and a good movie on Halloween, head on over to the Duluth YMCA at 302 W. 1st Street in Downtown Duluth. Dive in Movie, (movie in the pool) presents "Monster House." Bring a swimsuit and something to float on. The movie will run from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.

Grocery Store Wedding

Here comes the bride, down Aisle 9. Denise Irvine and Marty Czarnecki were married Wednesday at the Copps grocery story in Wautoma, WI.

The two chose Aisle 9 for their nuptials, since that's where they met last year. Czarnecki, an employee of Copps, was working in the liquor aisle when Irvine came in to buy wine, and he says "we got talking." Irvine says she doesn't "do things traditionally," so she liked the idea of a grocery-store wedding.

Members of the wedding party shouted "cleanup on Aisle 9" after toilet paper streamers flew through the air over the couple. After a brief honeymoney, Czarnecki returns to work at Copps on Friday.

The Liberace of the Accordion

On June, 27th at 1PM, the Harrington ARTS Center in Superior, will have a performance by accordion music mastery of Tony Lovello.

In the world of accordion music, audiences often rank performances by Tony Lovello as being among the best they have ever seen or heard. Tony is often referred to as the "Liberace" of the accordion.
