USDA Hosts Informational Meeting in Ashland

The United States Department of Agriculture will host an informational meeting to inform the public of programs and assistance the USDA could provide through its various agencies in northwest Wisconsin. The meetings will be held on Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26 at Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center, 29270 County Hwy G in Ashland.

For folks tight on cash, any opportunity to bring in extra money may be attractive, and an offer to make money at home simply by stuffing envelopes or compiling booklets may seem too good to pass up.  The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection advises Wisconsin residents that any work-at-home proposal that requires an upfront fee is probably a scam.

Regular rainfall across the entire state in the last week continues to keep water levels high in many areas and the Great Lakes as well as inland lakes and rivers continue to be colder than normal for early June.
